There are many ways to make internet connection, one is using the phone as a modem. To connect with my mobile phone most flexible because we can connect the internet anywhere, like at home, office, street, or in the shops. Simply connect the phone with the laptop, dial, directly online. To connect with the phone is quite a lot of alternatives that can be used, except from the phone itself that there are many brands and serial, is also the number of cards gsm cdma or that we can use.
For a tutorial here I want to show how the card with an internet connection using a modem CDMA Starone Nokia 2865 series. To be more easy to understand I will be using media images as a tutorial. I created this tutorial based on references from various sources and my own experience.
Step 01, prepare the equipment and software that is required, namely: nokia mobile phone data cable included (here I use the data cable CA-53), modem driver (can didonlod on the site of the mobile phone), and Starone card (with an adequate balance, to starone balance should be above 5500, if the balance is right under the 5500 or an internet connection can not be done).
Step 02, connect the phone to the laptop or PC, install the drivers and data cable modem driver (for nokia simply install Nokia PC Suite, the latest version of the Nokia site).
Step 03, the modem settings through the control panel icon select 'Phone and Modem'.
Step 04, select the active modem (connected to the laptop or pc) after that click properties, then select the tab 'Advanced'. In the Extra Settings - Extra initialization commands with the optional 'at + CRM = 1; + cso = 33' (without the quotes).
Step 05, select the Diagnostics tab and click 'Query Modem', wait until there is response from the modem nokia.
Step 06, select the tab 'Modem', the Maximum Port Speed select 115200. Here until the modem settings have been completed, the next step is to make an internet connection settings.
Step 07, the windows open 'Network Connection' in the 'Control Panel'. Select 'Create New Connection.
Step 08, select 'Connect to the Internet' in the 'Network Connection Type' and click 'Next'.
Step 09, select 'Set up my connection manually' after that click 'Next'.
Step 10, select the modem that we have been setting up in the previous.
Step 11, the contents of 'ISP name' with the name in accordance with your wishes (eg Starone).
Step 12, the contents of the Phone number '# 777' (without the quotes).
Step 13, the contents of 'Username' with 'starone' (lower case without the quotes), 'Password' with 'indosat' (lower case without the quotes), passord back again on the 'Confirm password'.
Step 14, do connect with the click 'Dial'. Done
